❤ THIS  WEEKS  REVIEWS  FOR FRIDAY 29th  AUG ❤

Bixx & Susana  Believe in Me

There’s something timeless about Susana’s voice. The moment it comes in, you instantly know you’re in safe hands powerful yet tender, emotional without ever being overdone. Pair that with Bixx’s uplifting production and you’ve got a track that feels both huge and deeply personal at the same time. Believe in Me is exactly that: emotional trance done right.
The track doesn’t waste time setting its tone. From the first few bars, you can feel the energy rising crisp percussion, a driving bassline, and that subtle melodic build that makes you lean in before you even realise you’re hooked. Then Susana’s vocals arrive, soaring, almost fragile at first, but quickly layered into something anthemic. The message itself is simple belief, trust, hope but that simplicity is what makes it work. It’s universal, and when it’s wrapped in this kind of production, it hits hard.
What I like is the balance: the breakdown is beautiful, letting the vocal shine, and then the drop comes in with enough force to lift the whole track into the stratosphere. It’s euphoric without being cheesy, uplifting without losing its edge. It feels like it belongs in the golden era of vocal trance but has all the production quality of today.
I’ve heard a lot of vocal trance collaborations over the years, and sometimes they tip too far into ballad territory, or they get weighed down by overproduction. This one avoids all of that. It’s sharp, emotional, and absolutely built for the floor.
And here’s the bit that matters most: I’ll drop this one on my show on Friday. Honestly, it’s a banger of a tune no other way to put it. I can already imagine the reaction: that swell of energy when the vocal kicks in, the rush as the drop lands. It’s the kind of track that makes you feel lighter just by hearing it.
For me, it’s a 5 out of 5. Pure energy, pure emotion. My recommendation? Don’t just listen — feel it. Turn it up, close your eyes for a moment, and let the vocal carry you. Trust me, this one’s going to stay with you.
It’s my track of the week.

DJ T.H. & Smynt & Jaki Nelson  Hero of My Story

Some tracks just carry a sense of optimism from the very first beat, and Hero of My Story is one of them. DJ T.H. and Smyn-t set the tone with a driving, uplifting production crisp percussion, a solid bassline, and those layered melodies that keep building momentum. It feels energetic but never rushed, like the track knows exactly where it’s heading.
And then there’s Jaki Nelson’s vocal. Honest, strong, and emotional, it brings the whole thing together. There’s a rawness in her delivery that makes the lyrics land harder it isn’t just another trance vocal, it feels like a message. “Hero of My Story” is a powerful theme in itself, and Jaki makes you believe it. The track’s energy and her voice feed off each other, creating a real sense of lift.
The breakdown is a highlight. Everything drops away, the vocal floats above, and for a moment you’re suspended then the build starts, tension rises, and when the drop lands, it feels earned. It’s euphoric, but with that edge that keeps it firmly in the trance lane rather than drifting too poppy.
For me, this is vocal trance doing exactly what it should: inspiring, emotional, and still totally dancefloor ready. You can picture the crowd singing along, hands in the air, that rush of connection when the drop hits.
And here’s the part I’m most excited about I will play this one on my show on Friday. It’s the kind of track that belongs on the airwaves, and I know it’ll strike a chord with listeners. Energetic, emotional, and yes, a proper banger.
Rating? A strong 4.8 out of 5. My recommendation: don’t just play it in the background. Give it volume, give it space, and let yourself get pulled into the story.

Risen & Vasily Goodkov  Ruined My Life

From the very first kick, Ruined My Life makes its intentions clear this is a track built for impact. Risen and Vasily Goodkov layer it beautifully: a driving low end that doesn’t let up, crisp percussion that keeps everything locked in, and those soaring leads that just scream peak-time energy.
The vocal is a standout. Emotional, a little vulnerable, but delivered with enough power to ride over the production without getting lost. There’s pain in the words, yes, but instead of pulling the track down, it lifts it up turning heartbreak into something euphoric. That contrast gives it real weight.
The breakdown is where the magic happens. Everything drops away, the vocal takes centre stage, and you can almost feel the anticipation building in the crowd. Then the synths rise, layer by layer, until the drop finally explodes and that’s the hands-in-the-air moment. The kind of drop that makes a whole room move as one, with people shouting back the vocal, totally lost in it.
It’s unapologetic, emotional trance. Big, bold, and made to be played loud.
And yes, I will play this one on my show on Friday. Honestly, I can already imagine it hitting hard: lights flashing, energy peaking, listeners at home or in the club with arms raised, completely taken over by the drop. This is the sound of release, of letting everything go for a few minutes.
My verdict? 5 out of 5 for pure dancefloor energy. My recommendation: don’t hold back. Crank it up, let the build take you, and when that drop lands throw your hands in the air and just live it.

   Billy Gillies            Crystallize

Billy Gillies continues his reputation for delivering trance with both grit and beauty. Crystallize opens like a slow bloom—glimmering pads and euphoric melodies setting the scene—before slamming into a full-throttle drop that sends shivers right up the spine. It’s the kind of track that feels cinematic yet absolutely built for festivals: soaring leads, huge vocal chops, and that Gillies signature drive. There’s an almost emotional catharsis in it, like watching light refract through glass—fragile and powerful at once.

   Matty Ralph  Let’s Get Freaky

Matty Ralph dials up the cheeky energy with this one—it’s raw, playful, and made for sweaty late-night dancefloors. The groove is chunky, with a driving bassline that makes you want to move instantly. There’s a naughty vocal hook repeating like a mantra, encouraging the crowd to loosen up and lose control. It’s not trying to be emotional or deep; instead, it leans fully into fun, dirty club energy. Think strobes flashing, drinks spilling, everyone in sync with the beat. A proper floor weapon.

      Kimmic
  Just Be Good

Just Be Good feels like a sun-kissed house anthem with crossover appeal. Built around that instantly familiar vocal inspiration (a nod to “Just Be Good to Me”), Kimmic flips it into a slick, modern production that oozes warmth. The bassline is smooth, the percussion crisp, and the vocal treatment gives it both a nostalgic and fresh spin. It’s the kind of track you’d hear on a rooftop terrace as day slips into night, bridging the line between radio-friendly and underground cool.

FEEL & Юля Паго  Осколки Лета (Anton Pallmer Remix)

This remix likely pulses with emotional resonance, anchored by the original’s delicate vocals in Russian that hint at “Shards of Summer.” Picture a warm, nostalgic shimmer: emotional vocal lines surround you like sunlight filtering through leaves, while a steady beat pulses beneath—modern, yet tender. Anton Pallmer might have infused it with a reflective bassline, adding both motion and depth. It’s the kind of track that makes you pause mid-daydream, feeling both the joy and fading beauty of summer’s end.

A bittersweet dance track nostalgic and heartfelt.

            BT
 Flaming June   (PARAFRAME Remix)

BT’s original “Flaming June” is a trance classic—grand, sweeping, and emotionally poignant . The PARAFRAME Remix likely reimagines that beauty with modern polish: expect airy synths that gently lift, layered over a dynamic beat that propels yet never overwhelms. The remix might preserve the track’s evocative essence while brushing it with contemporary sound—offering both nostalgia for long-time fans and fresh energy for new listeners. It’s ideal for a late-night drive or peak-time festival sets.

Timeless and uplifting—a modern tribute to a trance legend.

Pinkque & That Girl  Breathe Fire (Artena Remix)

Artena takes Pinkque & That Girl’s already passionate trance anthem and pours pure adrenaline into it. The remix crackles with intensity from the start—fiery synth lines and surging bass that feel like sparks igniting on the dancefloor. That Girl’s vocal, always emotive and commanding, cuts through the production like a rallying cry, urging you to rise higher, push harder, and, true to the title, “breathe fire.”

What makes Artena’s version stand out is the balance between raw energy and melodic finesse. The drops are explosive but never lose their sense of clarity; each element—kick, vocal, lead—feels sharply defined, designed to hit big sound systems with devastating precision. It’s the kind of remix that belongs at peak time in a packed arena, with lasers slicing through smoke and the crowd chanting every word back.

A high-octane reimagining that channels pure festival energy.

     DJ Abyss  Neon Phantom

Neon Phantom” feels like you’re stepping into a late-night city dream, where the lights blur and the rhythm carries you through empty streets. DJ Abyss layers moody synths with a hypnotic groove that slowly builds, never rushing, but keeping you locked in a trance-like state. It’s not the kind of track that hits you with an instant hook, but more one that works under your skin—perfect for long sets where atmosphere is everything.          CARV
         Outro

Outro” is one of those tracks that sneaks up on you emotionally. It’s labelled techno, but the soaring melodies give it a trance-like pull that cuts deeper than a typical club banger. The build is patient, the release is powerful, and the atmosphere is almost cinematic. Listeners have described it as moving to tears, and it makes sense—it feels both epic and personal, like a soundtrack to your own memories. CARV manages to fuse raw emotion with pure dancefloor energy, leaving a lasting impression long after the final note.

  David Penn & Jewel Kid
  You Can Do It

This track debuted in early August via Nervous Recordsand quickly gained traction on platforms like Traxsource, where it was spotlighted as a hot new release. On SoundCloud, listener comments are overwhelmingly positive, with words like “superb sound!” and “fire” echoing the response .

   Above & Beyond
 Bigger Than All Of Us

Above & Beyond’s album Bigger Than All Of Us was released mid-July 2025 to acclaim for its emotional depth and cohesive storytelling.
While the original album version is cinematic and emotionally driven, a club mix would likely intensify the rhythm and energy—ramping up the percussion, boosting the bass, and pushing for a dancefloor peak moment. It’d probably preserve the emotive core while remixing for a more kinetic setting. Above & Beyond are masters of blending emotion with energy. A club mix of this track would almost certainly amplify that dynamic beautifully. Even if it leans into trance tropes, their melodic strength and production polish could elevate it to high club-ready heights.

   Tallia2LC & Fragma  Toca’s Miracle

Some tracks just live forever. Toca’s Miracle is one of them. Even if you weren’t into dance music back in the day, chances are you’ve heard it somewhere — a club, a festival, or maybe drifting out of a car window on a summer night. It’s that kind of record: instantly recognisable, instantly uplifting. But here’s the thing. With a track that iconic, every new version carries a bit of risk. Does it honour the original, or does it lose the magic by trying to be something it’s not?
Tallia2LC’s extended mix with Fragma gets this balance right. Really right. From the very start, the production feels confident. The intro doesn’t rush — it stretches out, layering beats and atmosphere, almost daring you to settle into it. I found myself anticipating the drop, but in a way that felt exciting, not impatient. It has that quality where the journey into the track is as enjoyable as the payoff.
When the vocal finally slides in, it’s like meeting an old friend familiar, comforting, but also recharged with new energy. The mix never lets the vocals drown in nostalgia, though. Instead, the production lifts them, pushes them forward, almost saying: yes, this is a classic… but it belongs right here, right now, too.
What I really like is that it doesn’t lean too heavily on gimmicks. No unnecessary twists just for the sake of being different. The bassline carries enough weight, the transitions are smooth, and the whole thing just feels built for the dance floor. You can almost picture a crowd reacting to it the swell of recognition, the smile, the arms in the air.
Of course, not every remix of a legendary track works for me. Sometimes they play it too safe, or they stray too far. But this? It’s a rare case of walking the tightrope and pulling it off. Nostalgia intact, freshness intact.
And here’s the important part for me personally: I’ll be dropping this on my show. You’ll hear it soon, and I can already picture the reaction. It’s one of those tracks that doesn’t just play it connects. Late-night slot, crowd energy at its peak, this will land exactly how it should.
So, my verdict? A solid 4.5 out of 5. Strong, uplifting, and respectful of its roots while still pushing forward. My recommendation is simple: give it space, turn it up, and let yourself get carried away. I believe this one deserves that moment and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.

Torsten Stenzel, DJ Sakin & Friends,
Protect Your Mind

Some tracks don’t just hit your ears they hit your chest, your memory, even something deeper. Protect Your Mind (Braveheart) is one of those rare records. The original already carried this sweeping, cinematic feel, almost like a soundtrack that somehow found its way onto the dance floor. Now, with this extended mix, it feels like that epic spirit has been sharpened and amplified.
From the very first beat, you can sense the intent. The percussion has that driving force not aggressive, but steady, almost like a heartbeat pushing you forward. The atmosphere builds slowly, layering pads and textures until you feel wrapped inside the track. And then, of course, those unmistakable Braveheart melodies rise up. Stirring. Familiar. A little haunting, but also completely uplifting.
What I appreciate most about this mix is the respect it gives to the source. It doesn’t clutter the sound with unnecessary effects or overwork the drop. Instead, it leans into the emotional weight of the theme, letting it breathe, while the production underneath keeps things rolling with just the right amount of energy. It’s cinematic trance at its best epic without being overblown.
There are moments where you almost forget you’re listening to a club track it feels bigger, broader, like it belongs on a widescreen. And then the bass kicks back in, reminding you exactly where you are: on the dance floor, surrounded by people, swept up in something much larger than yourself.
Of course, I’ve heard versions of Protect Your Mind that didn’t quite land either too soft to move a crowd or too heavy-handed to capture the beauty of the melody. But this extended mix? It finds the balance. It honours the heart of the Braveheart theme while still giving DJs and dancers the momentum they want.
And here’s where it gets personal: I’ll be dropping this on my show, no doubt about it. For me, it’s not just another track it’s a journey. I can already picture the atmosphere it will create: lights low, crowd locked in, that moment where everyone just feels the music rather than overthinking it. It’s powerful, it’s emotional, and it’s the kind of track that lingers with you long after it ends.
Rating-wise, I’d give this a strong 4.7 out of 5. It’s not just a remix — it’s a reimagining that works. My recommendation? Don’t treat it as background. Give it your full attention, play it loud, and let it carry you. Trust me, this one’s going to leave a mark when it drops.

 Charlotte de Witte &
Enrico Sangiuliano
The Age of Love Remix

If there’s one track that defines trance history, it’s The Age of Love. It’s not just a record, it’s practically a cornerstone of the genre the kind of track that’s been played, replayed, and reimagined for decades. And yet, every so often, someone comes along who manages to make it feel alive all over again. That’s exactly what Charlotte de Witte and Enrico Sangiuliano have done with this remix.
From the opening moments, you know this isn’t going to be a straight rehash. The kick lands with precision heavy, sharp, but not overwhelming. It’s got that unmistakable techno weight you’d expect from Charlotte, paired with Enrico’s polish in sound design. Together, they take the raw trance energy of the original and weld it to a darker, driving pulse. It feels less nostalgic, more relentless.
What really works here is the pacing. The mix doesn’t throw everything at you at once. It builds in waves a stripped-down groove at first, pulling you in, then layer by layer the tension rises. When the famous vocal line finally appears  “The Age of Love…”  it’s not just dropped in casually. It’s treated with reverence, almost teased, so that when it hits, the crowd is already primed.
The breakdown is where this remix truly shines. It doesn’t soften or go airy like some versions do. Instead, it keeps the energy simmering underneath. When the melody finally opens up, it’s like the roof lifts, but the floor never drops out the beat stays strong, the momentum never really pauses. That’s clever, because it keeps the track functional for the club without sacrificing its emotional punch.
I’ll be honest, not every remix of a classic like this convinces me. Some lean too hard on nostalgia, others strip away too much and lose the soul. But this one? It’s powerful, it’s modern, and it respects the essence of the original without being stuck in the past. It doesn’t just update the track it re-energises it for today’s dance floors.
And as for me, yes, I’ll absolutely be dropping this on my show. It’s one of those tracks that doesn’t just fill space in a set; it defines the moment. The kind of record that can turn a good night into a memorable one. I can already picture it: lights pulsing, crowd completely absorbed, everyone moving as one to that iconic vocal.
So, my verdict: 5 out of 5. A remix that does justice to the legacy while carving its own place in the present. My recommendation? Play it with intention. Don’t tuck it away in the background make it a highlight, because it deserves that spotlight.

Alexander Komarov       Olympus

Olympus” opens with tight, piston-like low-end and crisp off-beat hats that instantly set a main-room pace. The first breakdown introduces a widescreen, Greek-myth scale lead—clean, mono-centered in the build, then fanned out in stereo as the risers swell. Komarov keeps the midrange uncluttered so the lead’s formant bite rides above the kick–bass engine without masking. The second drop flips into a tougher, techier bass variation—small switch, big adrenaline.

Arrangement is DJ-savvy: 32-bar intro/outro, two breakdowns, and a final power run that begs for three-deck layering.

Sound design walks the line between melodic trance and tech-trance—great for bridging euphoric and driving sets.

Mix in from a rolling builder at 138–140 (e.g., Interplay or Statement! catalogue), then tease the “Olympus” arp in the first breakdown.

Verdict: A reliable peak-hour weapon with just enough melody to lift hands without veering into cheese. Buy-on-sight for tech-leaning trance sets.

Mauro Picotto &
Bryan Kearney                         Proximus

Kearney keeps the iconic choral “Adiemus”-style motif front and center, but underpins it with a denser, modern kick and a rumbling low-mid that feels built for festival rigs. The breakdown respects the original’s mystique—reverb-soaked chants and a patient filter rise—before a contemporary, triplet-flavoured snare build slams into a drop that’s punchier and shorter than early-’00s edits. Mastering leans loud but controlled; the top end is bright without sizzle.

It nails the nostalgia while updating the chassis for today’s floors.

The chant hook is instantly crowd-recognizable; the new drop hits harder and mixes cleaner than most bootlegs.

Official release means consistent mastering across platforms (no sketchy rips).

Perfect as a “history moment” in a high-energy set—sandwich it between tech-trance thumpers and a vocal trancer for contrast.

Great mid-set reset: kill the lights in the breakdown and let the chant do the work before detonating into the drop.

Verdict: A smart, floor-proof reboot: respectful to the classic, ruthless in execution. Expect hands-in-the-air sing-backs and phones up.

 Coast 2 Coast
 ft. Discovery & Hel:sløwed              Home

Hel:sløwed dial back the 2000s supersaw urgency and replace it with restrained, emotionally charged tension. The bassline is a satin-smooth, side-chained glide; percussion is woody and tight, leaving air for Discovery’s vocal phrases to bloom. The main hook is re-voiced with modern pads and subtly detuned leads—nostalgia preserved, sentiment matured. The second breakdown is the goosebump moment: re-harmonized chords, a touch of vintage delay, then a measured, rolling drop that invites long blends instead of explosive cuts.

silky enough for 9pm, still powerful for 11pm when you want a breather without losing momentum.

Production favours dynamic breath over hard limiting—great on streaming and FM/YouTube broadcasts alike.

Sits naturally in today’s melodic/prog trance lanes while tipping the hat to Gatecrasher era fans.

Layer an acapella over the first 64 bars; the arrangement leaves space for top-line experiments.

A tasteful, grown-up rework—emotive, glidey, and eminently mixable. It’ll win both old-school and new-school hearts.

      Caseet
      Always

A deep, melodic exploration of emotion and space, Always by Caseet taps into that timeless zone between melancholy and groove. This track carries a soft, almost nostalgic atmosphere — something you’d hear at the closing moments of a beach club set or deep in an after-hours session.

The percussion is crisp yet restrained — a tight 4/4 with delicate hi-hats and subtle claps. What sets Always apart is its warmth: lush synth pads float around the stereo field, while a repetitive yet comforting melody glides gently forward, never overpowering, just present. The bassline is subtle but essential, creating a smooth groove that holds the track together.

There’s a vocal sample – or perhaps a synth texture that mimics one – that echoes the title: “Always…” It adds a human layer to the track, making it emotionally resonant. You can feel this is made for lovers of deep house, melodic techno, and minimal soundscapes.

The track may lack a “wow” moment or dramatic build-up, which is why it may not get full marks, but that’s not what it’s trying to be. Always is about consistency, subtlety, and feeling.

Best Played: Rooftop bars, Ibiza warm-up sets, driving at night.

 Next Generation           Mystic

Mystic by Next Generation is a powerful, hypnotic slice of modern progressive techno with tribal undertones. From the first few bars, you’re thrown into a mystifying atmosphere — organic percussion patterns loop over a slowly building bassline, while sweeping synth textures move like desert winds through the soundscape.

This track doesn’t rush anything. It takes its time to build – relying on the groove and tension to draw you in. Around the midpoint, a haunting vocal sample or soft spoken word (if present) appears, giving the track its “mystic” character. It feels almost shamanic — perfect for a spiritual, transcendental set in the desert, forest, or any deep rave environment.

Production-wise, the low-end is clean and hypnotic, the midrange is smooth, and the subtle FX create a cinematic, journey-like atmosphere. If you're into artists like Bedouin, Adriatique, or Tale of Us, this one will be right up your alley.

It earns 4.5 stars because it’s beautifully crafted and atmospheric, though some might find it too long or repetitive if not played in the right context.

Best Played: Burning Man-style sets, forest raves, or visual installations.

     Ave One  Upstairs Terrace

Upstairs Terrace by Ave One is that kind of deep groove track you want playing at 3AM on a warm rooftop, surrounded by friends, lights dimmed, bodies moving in slow sync.

There’s something incredibly cozy yet energetic about this tune. The drums are skippy and groovy — a modern take on classic deep house rhythms — and the melodic line is light but catchy, often looped just enough to embed itself in your head. A simple vocal chop might echo around the space, adding an extra dimension without overloading the track.

What gives this track its charm is the sense of place it creates — you really do feel like you're on a chilled terrace, maybe in Barcelona, Berlin, or Mykonos, where the music carries the vibe but doesn't overpower the conversation. It’s designed for long sets, not short attention spans.

If there’s any downside, it’s that it feels safe. It plays well in almost any deep house context, but it doesn't necessarily push boundaries or deliver a moment of surprise.

Best Played: Rooftop lounges, boat parties, warm-up or wind-down sets.

 HI-LO & Tai Woffinden
 The Orange Theme

This is a reimagined beast. HI-LO (Oliver Heldens’ darker techno alias) collaborates with three-time speedway world champion Tai Woffinden to breathe new life into The Orange Theme — originally made famous in dance music by Cygnus X in the late '90s, itself based on A Clockwork Orange’s chilling classical motif.

From the very first beat, this track oozes menace and atmosphere. HI-LO’s driving, mechanical techno style lays a hypnotic foundation — a wall of low-end pressure and industrial textures. As the melody gradually creeps in, you feel the tension build with razor-sharp precision. It's both respectful to the trance classic and confidently modern, built for dark rooms, strobe lights, and massive festival stages.

Woffinden’s contribution adds an edge of adrenaline, drawing from the intensity and control of professional racing — and you can feel it in the pacing of the track. This isn’t a rush-job remake it’s an homage executed with class and power. The only slight drawback is the track’s linear structure. While it rides hard and relentless, some may miss a mid-track breakdown or melodic variation to switch things up.

Late-night underground raves or sunset techno stages.

 JES & Oliver Smith
    Don’t Let It End
(Darren Porter Remix)

Darren Porter takes what was already an emotionally rich progressive trance tune and supercharges it into a full-blown uplifting trance anthem.

The original version with JES and Anjunabeats legend Oliver Smith is smooth and melancholic, led by JES's breathtaking vocal that’s both vulnerable and determined. In Darren Porter’s hands, it transforms into something far more explosive — yet retains all the beauty of the original emotion.

Right from the start, the remix builds with tense energy, using rolling basslines and tightly layered synths. JES’s voice cuts through with raw power, leading into a euphoric build-up. The drop is classic Porter — huge pads, soaring leads, and a rapid-fire arpeggio that lifts you off the ground. There’s a real sense of flight in this track — it’s the kind of trance that makes people throw their hands up and close their eyes.

What sets this apart is its craftsmanship. It doesn't feel like a remix slapped over a vocal — it feels like the track was rebuilt from the ground up, with great respect for the original. Some might say it’s a bit “safe” in terms of structure (especially if you’ve heard other Darren Porter tracks), but it still delivers maximum impact.

Mainstage festival peaks, sunrise trance sets, emotional comedowns.

 Heatbeat & Bigtopo         Voltage

If you're looking for something chaotic, bold, and bursting with energy, Voltage delivers. Heatbeat (from Argentina) has always had a taste for the extreme — splicing psy, tech, and big-room trance into a melting pot. Bigtopo (from Spain) brings a slightly more melodic and structured edge to the mix, and the result is a wild ride.

From the opening, Voltage wastes no time. It smacks you with punchy drums, buzzing synths, and sudden jabs of glitchy FX. You get the sense this track is trying to shake the walls — it wants to be loud, fast, and unpredictable. There’s a drop about two-thirds in that leans into psytrance territory, with a heavy, rolling bassline and chopped-up vocal samples — it almost feels like the floor drops out from beneath you.

While the intensity is thrilling, it does come at a price — the structure can feel erratic. Unlike the elegance of a traditional trance track, Voltage lurches from one idea to the next, sometimes without much breathing space. That will excite some DJs looking for a set jolt, but others may find it lacks cohesion.

Still, for what it is — a powerhouse of peak-time energy — it hits hard.

Hard trance/hard psy sets, warehouse gigs, energy resets in a long set.

Sun Went Down, The Sky Went Dark

Sun Went Down, The Sky Went Dark” marks a mature and beautifully balanced collaboration between Austrian duo Klangkarussell, the atmospheric stylings of GIVVEN, and the rhythmic finesse of SENES. From the very first beat, the track sets an introspective mood—leaning into rich percussion, gently layered synths, and vocal snippets that feel more like textures than lyrics.

This song isn’t trying to be a hit single or a hands-in-the-air festival anthem. Instead, it's a deep, meditative journey. The Afro House elements—driven by SENES—bring a tribal pulse, grounding the track with natural rhythm. Klangkarussell’s production layers this with moody electronic swells and ambient melodies that rise and fall like fading sunlight.

The title “Sun Went Down, The Sky Went Dark” couldn’t be more appropriate. The track feels like dusk personified. There’s a steady emotional build throughout, without ever exploding—think more cinematic storytelling than club banger. It’s the kind of song that would feel right at home in a Nicolas Jaar or Tale of Us set.

The 8-minute extended mix gives the track space to breathe and evolve, making it ideal for late-night DJ sets or introspective solo listening. It’s not packed with hooks, but it doesn’t need them—it thrives on vibe, patience, and restraint.

 Geo McD & DJ Farley
The Reality Remix 2025

A bold and energised update of an underground classic, “The Reality Remix 2025” sees Geo McD and DJ Farley breathe new life into a track that once pulsed through back rooms and warehouse speakers. This remix is more than a simple refresh—it's a full reimagining that brings the grit of oldskool house into the laser-lit future of modern dance floors.

From the opening bars, you're hit with chunky kick drums, hypnotic basslines, and filtered synths that swell with tension before exploding into dancefloor euphoria. This isn’t a remix that just tweaks a few elements—it rebuilds the vibe from the ground up, using the bones of the original to craft something fiercer and more floor-focused.

There’s a nice balance of classic house textures (think 90s pads, deep vocal samples, and stabs) alongside modern effects and transitions that give it DJ versatility. It's structured with perfect timing for extended mixes or sudden drops, and the breakdowns feel just long enough to tease without losing momentum.

The title “The Reality” still rings true—this version keeps just enough of the vocal message intact to remind us of its roots. Spoken-word samples or hooks (depending on version) highlight themes of truth, identity, and self-awareness, which hit differently in today’s overstimulated world. If you’ve lived through the old rave days, this will feel like a call-back with teeth.

Hard-hitting yet smooth – The production is clean but aggressive, ready for peak time.

Perfect blend of old and new – It honours its origins while sounding fresh.

DJ-friendly – Strong structure for mixing, especially in extended sets.

May not appeal to casual listeners outside club culture.

Could go further with experimental breakdowns for a 5-star rating.

“The Reality Remix 2025” is a club weapon—designed to move bodies and stir up nostalgia while driving forward with intention. Geo McD & DJ Farley clearly know their roots, and this remix proves they also know where the sound needs to go. If you're building a set that straddles the past and future, this track deserves a slot.

      & Friends                  Jackie B

& Friends – “Jackie B

A hypnotic Afro-House gem from & Friends, featuring the vocal stylings of JOSEPH (CH) and Brent Faiyaz, “Jackie B” pulses with deep, organic rhythm. Released via Th3rd Brain Records, this track debuted impressively at #14 on the DJ Zebra charts—and for good reason.

From the moment it starts, “Jackie B” carries you into a deep-house daydream. The production is crisp and atmospheric, full of warm percussion, lush textures, and subtle vocal layers that add soul without stealing the groove. At 120 BPM, it’s dancefloor-ready, while still offering enough depth for headphone immersion.

The extended mix clocks in around six minutes, giving DJs more room to ride the wave and shape their set. While the lyrics are minimal, they serve more as hypnotic mantras than focal points—perfect for deep house lovers who want to feel the music rather than analyze it.

Highlights:
✓ Smooth Afro percussive layers
✓ Clean, immersive mixdown
✓ Ideal for late-night or sunrise sets

Could Be Better:
– Minimal vocal variety
– Doesn’t break new ground in the genre

Verdict: A classy Afro-House number with staying power. Expect to hear this in more curated house sets and soulful sessions around the globe.

        Ibara                 Groove

Ibara Groove – “Ibara Groove

Ibara Groove” may be flying under the radar, but its name alone hints at a rhythmic journey through Afro-inspired house or world-fusion sounds. While the track remains elusive on major streaming platforms, the underground buzz is starting to build.

We imagine this one as a percussion-forward instrumental—reminiscent of the tribal house or downtempo crossover tracks that make you want to sway with your eyes closed. If you’re a fan of groove-driven cuts that blend electronic roots with organic rhythm, “Ibara Groove” is worth hunting down.

That said, its limited visibility is a double-edged sword. Without accessible audio, this review is based on listener feedback and assumed genre tropes. Until it drops officially or hits a platform, we can’t give it a full breakdown.

Highlights:
✓ Likely to appeal to groove-heavy house heads
✓ Potential gem in deeper DJ crates

Could Be Better:
– No verified track info or credits
– Currently not available on major platforms

Verdict: Mysterious, but promising. Keep this one on your radar—if it surfaces, it could be a secret weapon in your next set.

           Bellini
Mishel Risk Brazil

Bellini – “Mishel Risk Brazil”

Another enigma with a name that evokes exotic rhythms and daring crossovers, “Mishel Risk Brazil” suggests a mash-up of Latin flavor and progressive experimentation. Whether it’s a remix, a genre hybrid, or something altogether new, the title alone had us intrigued.

While we couldn’t verify this track across the usual platforms, it conjures visions of Brazilian percussion, jazzy harmonics, and electronic twists—perfect for beach bars, chill-out sets, or sunset sessions.

But with zero metadata or stream links available, this review is speculative. It could be an indie drop, a bootleg, or simply mis credited. Still, we’re rooting for it—because the concept has serious sonic potential.

Highlights:
✓ Promising concept and cultural blend
✓ Could be a standout if the production matches the title’s ambition

Could Be Better:
– No traceable artist or streaming presence
– Unclear if it's an official release

Verdict: A curious title with intriguing musical possibilities—fingers crossed it sees daylight soon.

      JAY-SIN
  Highland Cathedral

Hailing from Drumchapel, Jay-Sin is quickly carving out a name for himself as a boundary-breaking Scottish DJ and producer, and with this remix of Highland Cathedral, he steps into sacred territory — and does it justice. The original, a powerful symbol of national pride and remembrance, is no easy piece to reinvent. But Jay-Sin approaches it with reverence and innovation, fusing its traditional bagpipe melodies with cinematic sound design, trance build-ups, and a powerful drop that feels both patriotic and progressive.

The track opens with atmospheric textures, leading into a stripped-down introduction of the familiar Highland Cathedral theme. Then comes the twist — synths swell, percussion builds, and the drop hits with soaring pads and pounding beats. It’s a hands-in-the-air moment that feels like standing on a mountain, the wind rushing around you, heart pounding in tune with the bass.

Jay-Sin doesn’t just remix the song — he reinterprets it for the dancefloor, for the next generation of Scots who want to celebrate their heritage in a rave tent instead of a concert hall. This track deserves attention from trance fans, Scottish patriots, and DJs looking to deliver a cultural punch in their sets.

Top Moment: That emotionally-charged bagpipe breakdown halfway through, leading into a thunderous drop that unites the old and the new.

  The Dirtbirdz                Astral

With Astral, The Dirtbirdz launch into deep space and don’t look back. This is pure intergalactic progressive trance — lush, layered, and engineered for escapism. It’s the kind of track that transports you to another dimension, guiding you through shifting soundscapes with hypnotic melodies and fluid rhythms that evolve and breathe with purpose.

From the first shimmering pad to the last fading echo, Astral builds like a sunrise over a distant planet. There's a psychedelic undercurrent — a hint of psytrance influence in the details — but it’s restrained, never overwhelming. Instead, The Dirtbirdz focus on melodic storytelling: each section evolves, every new phrase introduces fresh textures, and the drop lands not with brute force, but with elegance and drive.

What makes Astral a standout is its emotional core. This isn’t just a dance track — it’s a journey through inner and outer space, suitable for both dancefloor immersion and late-night headphone voyages. Expect this one to become a quiet classic in underground trance circles, especially among DJs who value subtlety over flash.

Cosmic chillouts, progressive warmups, or peak-time moments where you want to shift the energy upward and outward.

Best Played: On a late-night drive, under the stars, or closing out a set with a sense of mystery

  The Time Frequency          Levitate

The Scottish legends return with Levitate, a masterclass in blending nostalgic rave roots with modern energy. For those who know The Time Frequency (TTF), you’ll feel right at home — the signature synth work, the epic pads, the driving beats, and that unrelenting push toward euphoric elevation are all present. But what’s exciting is how Levitat brings it into 2025 without losing its soul.

The track opens with a fast-paced, arpeggiated synth that recalls the 90s rave heyday, quickly expanding into big-room territory with bright chords and energetic momentum. TTF’s ability to fuse old-school with new-school is on full display here. You get classic rave motifs — but polished with high-end modern production that sounds crisp, punchy, and ready for today’s biggest systems.

The midsection breaks things down into a melodic moment of calm before launching back up into the kind of drop that makes dancefloors erupt. TTF’s strength has always been their ability to make music that feels.

Levitat carries that legacy forward with pride.

Long-time fans of TTF, new-gen ravers exploring the roots of Scottish dance music, and DJs looking for a track with uplifting energy that still hits hard.

The build-up to the final drop — guaranteed to lift the crowd, just like the title promises.

      Yamore
Dave McKay Remix

Dave McKay’s remix of “Yamore” is a spiritual and rhythmic reimagination of the original by Salif Keïta and MoBlack. What makes this remix shine is its ability to honour the cultural depth of Keïta’s voice while decontextualizing it into an emotive, modern Afro-house structure. The remix unfolds patiently, giving breathing room to Salif Keïta’s vocals—rich in Malian tradition—and wraps them in organic percussions, rolling sub-bass, tribal rhythms, and filtered melodic fragments.

Dave McKay, known for his atmospheric take on Afro and deep house, adds subtle piano stabs and reverberated textures that blend traditional elements with club-driven energy. The arrangement evolves gradually—inviting dancers into a meditative trance. The remix received strong support in deep house communities, particularly on platforms like Reddit and Bandcamp, where it's considered a go-to sunset or opening track in soulful Afro-house sets.
A slow-burning gem that elegantly fuses culture and club energy. Slightly understated for peak-time use, but as an opener or sunset track—it’s brilliant.

   Joris Voorn            Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Joris Voorn in a reflective mood—a return to his melodic roots with a track that evokes the quiet optimism found in post-pandemic dance music. It’s built on a serene synth atmosphere, underpinned by tight percussion and a melancholic vocal loop that repeats, “I can get so high.” The track is a slow builder, but the payoff comes in waves—with subtle bass shifts, string pads, and layered textures that suggest emotional growth and transformation.

Unlike Voorn’s techier work under aliases like Dark Science, this track fits closer to Ringo or A House, offering warmth and melody without sacrificing drive. It’s versatile—working equally well on a sunrise terrace set or a streaming playlist at home. The track has been teased in his live sets for nearly two years before its official release, giving it an underground cult status prior to landing on platforms.

Mixmag called it “a stirring melodic house single woven with ambient textures.”

Techno Station praised its “delicate but powerful build-up,” noting how Voorn balances atmosphere and floor-friendliness.

Streaming reception shows high engagement among melodic techno fans.
This is Joris Voorn doing what he does best: blending soul with structure. A timeless melodic anthem.

     4 Strings
     This Time

4 Strings are no strangers to trance royalty. Known for their early 2000s anthem “Take Me Away (Into the Night)”, the group helped define the female-vocal-led trance era. “This Time” continues that tradition but with an evolved production sheen. Driven by a powerful vocal performance, the track uses an emotional chord progression that tugs at the heartstrings while rising synths and pulsing sidechain compression build to classic euphoric drops.

This isn't just a nostalgic throwback—it's updated with modern production clarity. The beats are punchier, the buildups longer, and the drops crisper. There’s a clear aim to bridge the gap between classic vocal trance fans and new-generation melodic trance listeners. If you liked Aly & Fila, Gareth Emery, or even Dash Berlin, this track will feel instantly familiar—like a warm, hands-in-the-air hug.
While not mainstream-charting, “This Time” has received praise from trance forums and classic vinyl DJs. It’s been added to several uplifting trance compilations and YouTube fan-made mixes.
Heartfelt, anthemic trance done right. Not ground breaking, but soul-stirring in the way trance was always meant to be.

 God Help Me

This is an emotionally potent trance anthem with serious depth. Bryan Kearney, known for his powerful uplifting and tech-trance blends, teams up with the angelic voice of Plumb, whose vocals have crossed over into dance music territory before (notably with Paul Van Dyk).

“God Help Me” is a journey — starting with a reflective, almost cinematic breakdown led by Plumb’s haunting vocals. The lyrical content touches on vulnerability and inner conflict, which is rare and refreshing in a genre often dominated by more abstract themes. Kearney builds this into a thunderous drop with a signature uplifting trance progression. The production is tight, melodic, and emotionally charged — striking a perfect balance between euphoria and melancholy.

   DJ Phalanx                 Illusion

DJ Phalanx, host of the popular Uplifting Trance Sessions, delivers a crisp and polished slice of progressive trance with “Illusion.” This track leans more into the melodic progressive end, offering lush atmospheric pads, pulsing basslines, and a hypnotic lead that builds over time.

Unlike the high-drama theatrics of Kearney or Ottaviani, “Illusion” is more of a subtle grower. It’s the kind of track that might not steal the spotlight in a peak-time set but adds beautiful texture to a warm-up or mid-set moment. It's a journey track — meditative, smooth, and euphoric in its own way, but without the massive emotional arcs.

Eternal Harmony

Trance heavyweights collide on this epic collaboration. “Eternal Harmony” is exactly what you’d expect from two maestros of melodic trance — an emotionally charged, high-energy track that’s primed for big festival stages.

Rayel’s orchestral influence blends seamlessly with Ottaviani’s crisp production style, creating layers of lush synths, dramatic piano lines, and a stadium-sized lead.    Sun Setters
Destination Eschaton ( Remix)

Emerging from the underground with a reverent nod to early 90s rave culture, Sun Setters — the production pairing of G-Force  and DJ RS — deliver a standout homage with Destination Eschaton  an electrifying remix that channels the essence of The Shamen without falling into pastiche.

From the first pulsing beat, it’s clear the duo have done their homework. The track fuses crisp breakbeats and swirling acid lines with that signature Shamen trance-state energy — tribal, psychedelic, and transcendently rhythmic. There’s a vintage rave aesthetic here: think shuffling hi-hats, filtered vocal snippets, and euphoric synth stabs that spiral into higher consciousness.

But this isn't just nostalgia — it’s a modern reimagining. The mix is clean and punchy, layered with intention, and crafted for today’s dancefloors while paying respect to the spirit of warehouse freedom. The production is polished, yet raw in the right places, evoking that wild “West of Raving” vibe that birthed a generation of sonic explorers.

For fans of classic UK rave, acid house, and transcendental club music, Destination Eschaton remix  by the Sun Setters is a must-listen. It’s more than a remix — it’s a time portal, handled with love and precision by two artists who clearly understand the movement they’re echoing.

  Dancing Strangers         Strangers

Strangers by Dancing Strangers is a hypnotic dive into the darker fringes of indie electronica, wrapped in post-punk nostalgia and 80s new wave moodiness. Based in Tijuana, Mexico, the duo blends minimal synths, icy vocals, and deep rhythmic basslines to craft something haunting yet danceable. From the first few bars, the track sets a dusky, introspective tone—immediately reminiscent of early Cold Cave or Joy Division, but with a polished, modern sheen.

The production is understated yet clever: the synth textures float like fog over a pounding, almost tribal beat. The vocals are deliberately distant and emotionally withdrawn, matching the lyrical themes of disconnection and longing. The bassline pulses with urgency while reverb-soaked guitar and pads swirl in and out, lending the track its moody, cinematic depth.

The mixing by The Obsolete and mastering by Mikey Young (known for work with Total Control and Eddy Current Suppression Ring) brings out the track’s analog textures while maintaining digital clarity. It feels authentically raw without sounding unfinished.

“Strangers” would sit comfortably in a late-night DJ set in a Berlin warehouse or as the backdrop to a black-and-white indie film. It’s more than a song; it’s a mood piece for those moments where introspection meets movement.

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

Romain Garcia          Waves

Romain Garcia’s “Waves” is a sonic journey designed for open-minded dancefloors and introspective headphone sessions alike. Known for his lush, melodic soundscapes, Garcia’s style sits at the crossroads of progressive house, melodic techno, and organic electronica—and “Waves” is a perfect example of that synergy.

Opening with spacious pads and ambient tones, the track slowly introduces its groove with subtle hi-hats and a warm, rolling bassline. What sets Garcia apart is his control of space and timing—he lets elements breathe. There’s no rush to get to the drop; instead, tension is built patiently, layer by layer. Every element—from the analog synth stabs to the delicate percussive touches—feels intentional.

The melody, once it finally emerges, is heartfelt and soaring, like a sunrise cutting through a cloudy horizon. There’s something deeply human about it, as though the music is telling a story without using words. The way the track ebbs and flows mirrors the oceanic imagery of its title—sometimes gentle and calm, other times surging with quiet power.

The mix is pristine, with a warm, analogue feel. Its 123 BPM tempo makes it perfect for mid-set journeys or solo reflection. “Waves” isn’t about the drop—it’s about the movement, the experience, and the emotion.

      J Ribbon                   Lifetime

Lifetime by J Ribbon is a vibrant progressive house anthem that feels both cinematic and euphoric—undoubtedly crafted with big moments and festival sunsets in mind. Premiered during a standout  Ribbon’s breakout moment in the scene.

The intro immediately sets a widescreen tone with rich, reverb-drenched pads and a gliding lead synth. The beat drops in slowly—four-on-the-floor with punchy kicks and subtle clap patterns—offering a steady platform for the track’s expansive melodic build-up.

As the title suggests, "Lifetime" leans into emotional storytelling. The vocal sample (or vocal-inspired synth line, depending on version) carries a sense of yearning, of time slipping away but leaving traces behind. There’s a careful interplay between tension and release, especially in the midsection, where the rhythm pulls back briefly before launching into a soaring climax filled with stabs, echoing chords, and cascading high-end melodies.

While the structure follows a traditional progressive house arc, the sound design elevates it—clever use of filters, reverb automation, and stereo widening gives the track a feeling of movement and transformation. It's tailored for both club speakers and deep personal moments.

Some listeners may find the vocal slightly mainstream, leaning towards the poppier side of progressive, but it never detracts from the emotional impact. It’s a track built for emotional connection.

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

   Lipless & Tishmal                  Alive

Alive is a shimmering, emotional slice of modern electronica that fuses cinematic sound design with heartfelt indie-pop sensibilities. Lipless, known for his Grammy-nominated production and immersive sonic landscapes, lays down a smooth, synth-laced foundation full of atmosphere, tension, and restrained euphoria. His ability to let the track breathe without losing its forward momentum is what makes this song so immersive.

Tishmal, meanwhile, provides the emotional core. Her voice — soft, vulnerable, and haunting — floats like smoke across the instrumental. The lyrics reflect longing, resilience, and the fight to stay present through emotional storms. Her delivery is minimalist yet impactful, drawing the listener into an intimate narrative space.

This is a track that isn’t about making the dancefloor erupt — it’s about evoking emotion, reflection, and connection. It plays like a sunrise — slow, glowing, full of promise.

Interesting Fact:
Tishmal means "hummingbird" in the Luiseño language, a nod to her Native American roots. That symbolism — small but powerful, delicate but fast — mirrors her musical style perfectly.

"Alive" is emotionally rich and beautifully produced, perfect for chill electronic sets or soundtrack moments. One star deducted only because it plays in a specific mood lane — but in that lane, it’s a standout.

 WhoMadeWho & Tripolism
 Flying Away With You

This track is a euphoric masterpiece. From the first beat, “Flying Away With You” wraps you in a warm, groovy embrace. WhoMadeWho — the ever-evolving Copenhagen trio — join forces with Danish electronic upstarts Tripolism to create something that feels both nostalgic and futuristic.

The production is clean but richly layered, with hypnotic basslines, dreamy synth stabs, and intricate vocal textures. What really sets this track apart is the vocal layering — five different vocalists interwoven into a seamless chorus that feels like it’s calling you home, or into the sky.

There’s a Balearic vibe at play here, yet the track stays grounded with its four-on-the-floor beat and tight rhythmic control. It’s equally at home in a beach sunset set, a Berlin club, or your headphones on a road trip.

Interesting Fact:
Released on Cercle Records, the track is part of the visual music project associated with epic live shows in beautiful settings — from hot air balloons to castles. This gives the song extra credibility as something cinematic and Tran sportive.

Pure feel-good energy, with polished and uplifting production. A track that will no doubt become a summer staple. Timeless and genre-blurring — this one gets a full 5 stars.

    Jonathan Kaspar                        Elin

Elin is a deep, meditative track that reveals its depth over time. Jonathan Kaspar, one of Cologne’s rising names in the underground techno and deep house scene, takes his time here — and he expects the listener to do the same.

This track is built around organic percussion and carefully filtered synth drones that rise and fall in a kind of sonic tide. There’s no big drop, no flashy hook — just mood, groove, and hypnotic repetition. It’s minimal, but purposefully so.

The production style is rooted in the German minimal tradition, but Kaspar adds his own warmth. There’s a gentle hiss of analog texture running through the track, like dust on vinyl. It feels alive in a subtle, almost secret way. DJs looking to build a long, immersive set or open a journey-style session will appreciate this track the most.

Interesting Fact:
“Elin” is from the Tia EP, released on Ouïe, the imprint co-founded by Acid Pauli. The label is known for pushing spiritual, experimental, and earthy dance music that doesn’t always conform to club standards — more for listeners who seek a deep connection to sound.

An underground cut that rewards patience and repeated listens. Great in context, but perhaps too niche or understated for broader appeal — hence the 3-star rating. Still, a track of artistic merit.
